Caritas International supports victims of violence, natural disasters and poverty, both in their home countries and in exile, and in displacement, in cooperation with our local, national and international networks.

Abroad:
-Emergency response and humanitarian aid for victims of disasters and conflicts;
-Reconstruction and development projects, with an emphasis on reconstruction and development projects, with a focus on reducing the impact of humanitarian crises;
-Development in rural areas, with a special focus on agro-ecology an and alternative income-generating activities outside of agriculture;
-Support to civil society organizations.

In Belgium :
-Reception and social support for vulnerable applicants for international protection (asylum);
-Support for the integration of recognized refugees;
-Frontline social support for migrants, accompaniment for family reunification,
-Guardianship of unaccompanied foreign minors (UFM);
-Accompaniment during voluntary return and sustainable reintegration in the country of origin;
- Awareness raising, education for global citizenship and political advocacy.

More specifically, Louvrange is a project in Belgium on reception and social support for vulnerable applicants for international protection (asylum). The project consists of semi-autonomous reception of women and women with children in need of international protection identified by Fedasil as needing to benefit from adapted reception and support due to vulnerabilities linked to a history marked by various forms of gender-based violence (physical and psychological violence, abuse, rape, genital mutilation, etc.). There are 78 places in Louvranges in 22 individual apartments. On average, there are 20 women and between 40 and 45 children housed in Louvranges.

The Caritas "Logis de Louvrange" team's line of conduct is to bring mothers to a maximum of autonomy based on their own abilities like that they will be prepare to leave the Logis as well as possible.
They leave the Logis either because they have obtained a positive decision (final or provisional in relation to their asylum case), or because their application is definitively refused.
Learning French (and other training), information on various topics and learning to manage their administrative procedures themselves are part of this support.
