Verbund sozialer Dienste gGmbH is working in the field of child and youth welfare in the surrounding of Bad Essen near Osnabrück. Since 2007 the company association runs the family vacation facility "Haus Sonnenwinkel" which represents an offer for family recreation and is intended also to enable low-income families a relaxing holiday. Furthermore the production kitchen provide lunch to children and youth facilities in the region, in addition to provide house guests. The concept of "Haus Sonnenwinkel" is based on many years of experience in family and group holidays. The offers are intended to strengthen the "system" family and promote the personality development of the individual within the family under the following priorities: - strengthening the ability to relationship, respect for "the rest of the family", -personality education, assumption of ecological and social responsibility. The offers are based on the individual needs of the guests. They often communicate topics that they are interested in and want to work on. Thereupon the team of "Haus Sonnenwinkel" is able to design a coordinated offer. In the near future the establishment of an inclusive branch will enable young people with disabilities in the activities of café/kitchen, cleaning/laundry and service to gain sustainable employment perspectives.
