C.I.P. Citizens In Power is an independent non-profit, non-governmental organization that addresses the needs and demands of young people through their involvement in civic life.

AIMS
-Cover and defend the rights and needs of youth through participation in the democratic and political processes
-To bridge the gap due to different origins, language, history, culture and religion
-Reduce discrimination and racial disparities and marginalization, through volunteer contribution
-Assist in the realization of the common European identity and to provide a means for engaging in any opportunities provided by the EU
-Organize young people to become a strong team of active citizens from different economic, legal, educational, social, religious, national, cultural and share the same vision: equal and fair opportunities in lifelong learning, health and the opportunity to enjoy a healthy environment
-Promote: youth participation in elections, requirements of young people, communication between political officials and citizens on issues affecting young people and society in general
-fair and equal representation of men and women in decision-making processes in all sectors of society and business
-Promote increased participation of young people average volunteer work in various social activities at local and international level
-Environmental protection and the promotion of green growth
-The promotion and modernization of teaching and development of new technologies
-Support cross culture communication and people belonging to minorities.
-Cooperation with other institutions and non-governmental bodies
-Human Rights Defenders by the resolutions of the UN and other bodies of the European Union.
-Reduce unemployment and simultaneously increase the employability of young people through education, practical experience and skill improvement
-Assist in the promotion and implementation of partnerships to achieve diversity, solidarity, innovation, creativity, compassion
-Alleviate the poor
-Promotion of education, research and creativity
-Inspire, empower and energize youth to work to achieve the vision for a peaceful, sustainable and multicultural Europe
-Provide a powerful platform for young people where they express their needs and concerns regarding the future of the world
-Coordination intercultural activities with the ultimate goal of building peace, protecting the environment and protecting human rights
-The promotion of requirements young people through various peaceful campaigns such as public relations and lobbying
-Support and training of members of our local and international networks through exchange of information, experience and ideas
-Promote and advance the education, arts, literature, theater and sports

To achieve these aims CIP has an ongoing collaboration with the leading universities, NGO’s and research organizations in Europe for the development of projects, trainings and educational material. CIP retains a valuable network of professional trainer’s and educational experts experienced with formal, in-formal and non-formal education.

ACTIVITIES

-Increasing the employability of young people through entrepreneurship education and practical experience.
-Organize structured dialogs with decision makers.
-Support and train members of their local and international networks in numerous ways such as exchange of information, good practices, experiences and ideas.
-Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to promote research and creativity for the modernization of teaching.
-Participation in the activities of Cyprus Youth Council as members
-CIP provides assistance and services in the field of education, economic and social development, promotes and offers consulting and training services to organizations and individuals in the field of entrepreneurship, social economy, informal qualifications, vocational education and training…etc, through forums, publications, conferences/seminars, networking, collaboration with other institutions and other such activities.

Its experience, in both national and international projects, has been in the aforementioned fields, while it has built a vast network of contacts globally over the years, which will be valuable for the next steps in ESC application. CIP implemented a number of national and EU projects, with a focus on entrepreneurship, employment, the certification of informal qualifications and social entrepreneurship. It has participated in a large number of Youth In action and ERASMUS+ activities (KA1, 2, 3), both as partner and leader and thus has the experience and know-how to successfully implement such projects. In the context of the projects materialized, it has completed a large number of studies and research, organized and materialized workshops/conferences/meetings, developed innovative tools in a number of fields.
