ABF - Åland, the workers’ educational association
Is an umbrella organisation with 33 NGO member associations some smaller some bigger some more interested in including international volonteers in different of their projects and activities others more curious.
ABF as an organsiation arranges lectures, courses, study-circles and project in collaboration with the member associations, but also with other associations, organisations and authorities.
ABFs idé is:
* to promote democratic development by creating study and debating possibilities for all
* create possibilities for everyone to educate themselves within different issues and areas
* educate the affiliated organisations’ members and others to prepare them for tasks within associations and the society
* arrange cultural events according to the wishes of the members
ABF want to promote solidarity and internationalization and cooperation in Europe and work against discrimination.
ABF will organize the project so the volunteer can take part in different of the member organizations meetings, projects and activities and in ABFs ordinarie activities.
