“Cinergies Co-Op” is a Social Cooperative Enterprise whose purpose is to change the dominant narrative towards more sustainable and equitable pathways.

It was formed officially in 2016, but the group has been working together since 2014, producing the trans-media documentary “Heterotopies”, an ongoing project that is the flagship of the cooperative, as well as other socially oriented productions, including documentaries, educational videos, coverage of events/workshops, promotional material .

The cooperative also provides audio-visual services for individuals and initiatives involved in the Social Economy and sustainability initiatives, an economic and social domain that is steadily growing in Europe, often without payment/pro bono in order to improve the visibility of their actions and impact.

“Cinergies”, during those 3 years has been forming strategic partnerships in order to strengthen its relationships with its international partners, focusing on learning by traveling, media production, popular education for social innovation, self sufficiency and promotion of a better role for European Citizens, exploring together a more sustainable path.

The cooperative:
-In 2016 explored the emerging network of rural cooperatives that are networking to produce and provide a decent livelihood to farmers with the first documentary called “A Social Ecosystem” that was screened at Greek Public Television (ERT)
-In 2017 embarked on a 2 year journey with partners from all the Southern Europe exploring
sustainable communities, alternative economy projects as well as inspiring individuals and their practices in order to produce the first interactive documentary of this kind in Greece at

-In 2019 has partnered for another 2 year strategic partnership to define and disseminate best practices in the field of social communication.

During those years Cinergies Co-Op has been producing educational and promotional content, while participating and co-organising various educational activities, in order to provide capacity building:


A. In fields connected with the cooperative’s expertise on media literacy storytelling and
communication.
B. In providing opportunities for local social actors to improve their communication and team building skills in order to empower collaborative eco-systems in Greece.

As one of the first media production cooperatives in Greece, Cinergies is in a position to further synthesize and disseminate best practices and know-how in order to support groups and individuals involved in sustainability and social economy and with the help of ESC volunteers aims to improve both in quantity and quality the efforts it offers in solidarity with those projects.
