El Departamento de Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Lleida interviene a partir de tres objetivos generales:
- Afrontar los retos de la diversidad desde la oferta de actividades que fomenten el intercambio y la relación entre jóvenes de diferentes perfiles sociológicos.
- Facilitar la emancipación para garantizar la igualdad de oportunidades y facilitar itinerarios personales y profesionales de futuro para los/las jóvenes.
- Consolidar en tejido asociativo y fomentar la participación de los jóvenes en lo colectivo.
Para conseguir estos objetivos se definen las siguientes líneas temáticas y estratégicas de trabajo:
- TIEMPO LIBRE, CREACIÓN Y CULTURA JUVENIL: Bucs de ensayo musical, Día Europeo de la Música, Dia de Europa, Festival Pot Fest, Street Art, promoción de actividades saludables de tiempo libre, intervención con jóvenes inmigrantes y ex-tutelados...
- PROMOCIÓN DE SALUD: actividades preventivas al consumo de drogas, asesoramiento personal sobre temas de sexualidad, afectividad, salud mental...
- EMANCIPACIÓN JUVENIL: información sobre temas de vivienda y trabajo.
- INFORMACIÓN Y ORIENTACIÓN JUVENIL: sobre cualquier tema de interés juvenil, sea de programas locales, nacionales y europeos,
- ASOCIACIONISMO Y PARTICIPACIÓN JUVENIL: SVE-CES, Erasmus+ (intercambios juveniles), hotel asociaciones juveniles, iniciativas juveniles...
Estas actuaciones se desarrollan en centros que gestiona el propio departamento de juventud: LleidaJove - la Palma, Clubs joves y Bucs de ensayo El Mercat. Asimismo, también se utilizan otras instalaciones de la ciudad, como centros educativos, centros cívicos, plazas, piscinas, pabellones e pistas deportivas... realizándose diversidad de proyectos específicos de participación, cultura, ocio, creación, deportes, naturaleza y medio ambiente... con el objetivo primordial de fomentar la interrelación, comunicación e intervención con jóvenes de distinto perfil sociológico.
Las acciones se dirigen a todas las personas jóvenes de la ciudad, con edades comprendidas entre los 13 y los 30 años, aunque también se incluyen colectivos específicos según las intervenciones a realizar, como por ejemplo: población infantil, familias, asociaciones de diversa índole, ONG's, ciudadanía en general...
Además, debemos mencionar que desde el 2009 somos entidad de envío, acogida y coordinadora para gestionar y desarrollar el voluntariado europeo en beneficio de las personas jóvenes de nuestra ciudad y alrededores.

The Youth Department of Lleida City Council intervenes on the basis of three general objectives:
- To face the challenges diversity by offering activities that promote exchange and relationships between young people of different sociological profiles.
- Facilitate emancipation to guarantee equal opportunities and facilitate personal and professional itineraries for the future for young people.
- To consolidate the associative fabric and encourage the participation of young people in the collective.
In order to achieve these objectives, the following thematic and strategic lines of work have been defined:
- LEISURE TIME, CREATION AND YOUTH CULTURE: Musical rehearsal clubs, European Day of Music, Europe Day, Pot Fest Festival, Street Art, promotion of healthy leisure time activities, intervention with young immigrants and former foster youths...
- HEALTH PROMOTION: drug prevention activities, personal counselling on issues of sexuality, affectivity, mental health...
- YOUTH EMANCIPATION: information on housing and work issues.
- INFORMATION AND YOUTH ORIENTATION: on any subject of interest to young people, be it local, national or European programmes,
- ASSOCIATIONISM AND YOUTH PARTICIPATION: EVS-CES, Erasmus+ (youth exchanges), hotel youth associations, youth initiatives...
These activities are carried out in centres managed by the youth department itself: LleidaJove - la Palma, Clubs joves and Bucs de ensayo El Mercat. Likewise, other facilities in the city are also used, such as educational centres, civic centres, squares, swimming pools, pavilions and sports courts... carrying out a variety of specific projects of participation, culture, leisure, creation, sports, nature and environment... with the primary objective of promoting interrelation, communication and intervention with young people of different sociological profiles. The actions are aimed at all young people in the city, aged between 13 and 30, although specific groups are also included depending on the interventions to be carried out, such as: children, families, associations of various kinds, NGOs, citizens in general...
In addition, we should mention that since 2009 we have been a sending, hosting and coordinating organization to manage and develop European volunteering for the benefit of young people in our city and its surroundings.
