Opis organizacije

The organization was created in year 2014 by families who brought up the children with special needs.
The objectives of the organization are -
*union of families with children with disabilities, informational and psychological assistance to such families;
*conducting of entertaining and educational activities for children with special needs; informing society about children's with disabilities and their families;
*inclusion of children and youth with special needs in society ;
*promotion of the idea of inclusive education.
Through open, social projects, articles and media coverage, we talk about children with special needs and the difficulties their families face. In this way, we raise public awareness of people with disabilities in order to reduce stereotypes.
On the other hand, we help families not to feel embarrassed about their children, to protect their interests, and to be socially active themselves.
Our target group is families with children with special needs (adult family members, children with special needs, their siblings). As for today we have a parent club with 540 families. Daily communication takes place in a closed group on the social network Facebook, phone and e-mail. The information center operates on a voluntary basis at Maneezi 3, Tallinn.
There are many added value that an organization brings to children and their parents, as well as to our society in general, to reach serious and ambitious goals. Over the past five years the Community has grown into a trusted and valued partner for organizations in various sectors.
NGO Special World constantly cooperates with other non-governmental organizations in an effective and long-term way.
We are cooperating with all local municipaletes of Tallinn, Tallinn Education Department, Ministry of Education and Research, Ministry of Social Affairs and Tallinn Learning Advisory Center.

We had repeatedly held events such as the International Dance Festival No Limit Dance Battle in Tallinn and Narva. One of these events was also rewarded by the Interaction Foundation for the co-operation of the Estonian and non-Estonian residents : //www.youtube.com/watch? v = HxYUmpFeVj8)

Photo Exhibition “Childhood Differences”, organized by NGO Special World (http://children.tilda.ws/?fbclid=IwAR3xpk9DcRh3Rc_IcRxAM6SXVWsHxpgmN2vrgJ8OtcYBH97aSgd2UiMbTRM) was held all over Estonia. The project was mentioned in the Estonian Press Photographers Union (EPFL) catalog 2018; and in the project My Special Estonia EV100https: //www.minueestimaa.ee/ etc)
Number of informal classes in schools (elementary, middle and high school) on topics: Why are we all so different? Who are children with special needs? Is bullying a class disease or does it not affect me?

Number of acknowledgments, achievements and nominations ( nominee from the Chancellor of Justice's "Children and Children" nomination in 2017; EMSL's "Citizen's Association of the Year 2017" nomination; nominee for the Young People's Prize; Julia Stepanova - nominee for the Citizens' Day badge; nominee from the President's Order; etc.)
