The importance of Gölbaşı is due to its geographical location. Although the historical structures such as Sur, Kale, and Temples, which are noteworthy in our district, are few, it can be seen that the caves in various places are inhabited.
The most important historical aspect of Gölbaşı District is that it is located at the road junction. The population of the Gölbaşı center is 31,628. 15% of this population consists of young people. Moreover there is Gölbaşı Vocational School of Adıyaman University in Gölbaşı and 500 student is studying at the university. The main target group of municipality is all citizens of Gölbaşı, however municipality give importance to the youth.
