Lucana Mente Lab is a non-profit cultural association born from the will and creativity of a group of young people from Lucania immersed in the socio-cultural dynamics of their native territory. The association was founded in Pisticci (MT) in the summer of 2014 and its main purpose is to promote and implement, from the territory of origin, the musical culture and the comic-editorial independent character.
The Mission of the association is to transform Basilicata into a center of attraction for culture, art and music, supporting the defense of the territory and condemning any kind of social discrimination.
Lucana Mente Lab, for 6 years, has participated in numerous initiatives promoted by local associations such as: ACT in Circus in the Teatro dei Calanchi, Legambiente in Imbianchini di bellezza, Basilicata Board, P-stories, Allelammie and Avis, Eotria Felix, with Pro Loco and Comune and finally with the editorial project STIGMA.

The most important event is the SputnikFestival, now in its sixth edition, where we try to involve participants in an artistic project focused on music and comics in which the territory acts as a protagonist.
In particular, with the election of Matera as European Capital of Culture 2019, the beauty of Basilicata and the city of stones have begun to be finally recognized and appreciated worldwide. It is also thanks to this that, in addition to addressing a passionate audience of independent comics and music, the Sputnik Festival has managed to be a cultural hub for a wider audience.
