Descrizione dell'organizzazione

Our organisation is a member of the umbrella organisation Landes-Caritasverband Bayern and Deutscher Caritasverband and belongs to the group of non-statutory welfare organisations in Germany. Our organisation´s activites consist of:
-provision of social services for people in need
-support and promotion of Caritas in parishes and of social active groups in the region of Main-Spessart
-support of social Catholic associations
-representation of social active Catholic groups and associations towards public authorities in the region of Main-Spessart

About 190 staff members work in the different social services:
-social counselling, counselling for refugees and migrants, counselling for caring family members
-psycho-social counselling, ambulant assisted living, counselling related to substance abuse
-Gemeindecaritas (Caritas in local communities) and coordination of volunteers
-Children- and youth services, social work at schools
-Senior center St. Martin
-Administration

There are about 140 volunteers involved in different social acitivties: Helferkreis Asyl, counselling of seniors, assistance in daily life, board.
