Umbrella is a youth organization established in Georgia with the mission to educateб motivate and activate youth in Georgia and beyond. Our organization based on liberal and democratic values, with the aim to promote an inclusive, educated, and progressive society. In order to meet this task, we run educational and development programs.

The main priority of the organization is to support the issues related to youth (from 14-35 age) in Georgia in particular and beyond in general. The main topics that Umbrella covers are human rights, democracy, and the environment. The objectives of the organization are to support the people’s physical and educational development by creating educational and volunteering initiatives aiming at developing young people’s competence in the field of civil society, environment, human rights, and democracy and to promote intercultural relations in Georgian society.

The organization is running a special volunteering program for young people, that units up to 150 volunteers in all regions of Georgia. The program considers the volunteering activities aiming at solving community-related issues (environmental, social, human rights and etc) by engaged young people in the process.

Currently, the organization is engaged in various international and local projects related to youth development. During the last years by the organization's support has founded two youth centers in rural areas and one more is will be established soon.

We see our mission as a link between international youth opportunities/structures and local/Georgian youth. Therefore, we are constantly enlarging our national, local, and international network and structure to build strong bounds and collaboration opportunities between the young people operating on these levels.

Umbrella is a member of the following international networks:
• Rural Youth Europe
• MIJARC Europe
• Youth Environment and Europe (YEE)
• International Young Nature Friends (IYNF)
• Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN)

Our main donors are the Youth Agency of Georgia, the European Youth Foundation, and the Erasmus + program.
