Järjestön kuvaus

The Centro per la Cooperazione Internazionale / CCI is a non-profit and independent association engaged in the analysis, information, training and promotion of knowledge on the issues of international cooperation, European affairs, peace and human rights.
We work so that, in a complex and interdependent society, rights, sustainability and equity are at the centre of practices and policies defined through the participation of institutions, civil society, media, the scientific community, the world of work and business.
Through education for global citizenship, information, research, advocacy and training, the CCI aims to support the work, and strengthen the knowledge and competences of those involved in the exercise of developing a global society more just, equal, peaceful, and sustainable.
We promote the coordination of initiatives and actors operating in the field of international cooperation and local sustainable development, and we are committed to strengthening the European integration project by supporting transnational relations and exploring issues which are crucial for the EU democracy.

To achieve its mission, CCI is articulated in two departments:

Competenze per la Società Globale / CSG: focused on international cooperation and Global Citizenship Education.
CSG promotes/offers services of training, consultancy and awareness-raising at the local, national, and international levels, in collaboration with local entities, companies, associations based in Trentino, and italian, european and international NGOs. It is also active in transnational networks. Particularly relevant for the training/educational sector are the activities of analysis, research and dissemination of knowledge, in collaboration with Universities, research centres at the local, national, and international levels.

Osservatorio Balcani e Caucaso Transeuropa / OBC Transeuropa focused on EU integration, democracy and human rights.
A think-tank on European affairs. It is appreciated, at italian and international levels, for its geographical specialisation on South-East and Eastern Europe, for its thematic and methodological focus on the role of civil society and citizens in the development of bottom-up transnational relations for the European integration, the promotion and defence of human rights, and reconciliation and peace.
In particular is focused on monitoring and analysing the political, social, and cultural transformations of 26 countries and regions in Europe, on raising the awareness of the public opinion on areas and issues central to various European challenges, and on supporting the development of transnational relations through the creation and the activation of networks and the design of special projects, functional at attracting new resources and increase the impact of the activities implemented.
