Beschrijving van de organisatie

The Equestrian Club Kolan is operating in the Šibenik-Knin County, more precisely on the family farm Oliver Živković in Dubrava. Our equestrian club association for activities and therapy with horses is a non-profit organization created in 2012. The aims of the organization are to promote, develop and improve all activities related to the organization and professional performance of activities and therapy with horses. It includes method of rehabilitation, education and recreation for children and youth with developmental difficulties or other psycho-physical problems or behavioral disorders and for persons with disabilities and the development of social awareness and expertise of its members. In addition to the Horses-based activities, the association also performs other activities with citizens that finance the implementation of therapies using horses.

Our target groups are:
- Citizens
- Youth with developmental difficulties
- Youth with psycho physical problems
- Youth with behavioral disorders
- Youth with disabilities
- Youth with mental and psychological difficulties and disabilities regular activities is horse therapy.

Our regular activity with youth with problems and disabilities is the horse therapy. In various European countries, the field of activities and therapy with the help of horses today represents an important part of medical, pedagogical and psychosocial care for people with intellectual disabilities, behavioral disorders, socially vulnerable and socially excluded people, people with central and peripheral nervous system diseases difficulties, a person with the consequences of accidents or strokes. The horse therapy methods represent a complete therapy because the horse with its movement has a positive effect on the development of sensorimotor skills. and a member of the therapeutic team and achieves positive changes in other areas of activity. Socializing and working with horses offers many different learning situations, which require us to think. New experiences encourage us to be better towards ourselves, others and the environment,
encourage us to learn to behave appropriately in a group and family, overcome our own fears and develop social inclusion, self-awareness, recognition of our own values, goals and personality:
