The Pesaro Baseball Club, which celebrated its 52-year history in 2020, was founded in 1968. Since 1970 the team has participated in the Italian baseball championship. Its vocation has always been centered on the dissemination and promotion of this wonderful game. A prestigious history that over the years has brought titles and awards in all competitions and leagues played, from the youth categories to the seniores, without neglecting the successes achieved by softball athletes.
We have our own baseball field with a facility included where we have our own changing rooms and a common room where we organise events. Moreover, we have a lot of space outside where we organise activities during the summer.
The starting point can only be the youth sector. It is from the development and strengthening of the skills and competences of boys and girls that players are formed, who mature over the years, in addition to technical-physical progress, also a passion for this wonderful game.
A little less than 100 members are currently involved in our preparatory and competitive activities, ranging from the Mini Baseball category, children and teenagers of U12, U15, U21, to the Seniores category which, in 2017, participated and won the national championship of Serie B, winning the prestigious access to the Federal Serie A.
​The growing number of members of the club is the result created over several years by a constant and passionate commitment of managers and qualified technicians who have worked during promotional events and extra-curricular activities, in order to promote the club but most of all to let children and youngsters have fun.
It is, after all, the playful part that we believe is fundamental for the growth of the interest and the psychomotor skills of athletes. The match represents the climax of a player's experience: it is the moment where the skills of the individual are made available for the success of the whole team.
To this end, the Club, in addition to guaranteeing participation in inter-regional championships for all age groups, participates in national tournaments and organizes the "Città di Pesaro" tournament on the last weekend of July. This is an event that attracts over a hundred young athletes and their families from all over Italy. A highly motivating and stimulating experience for the company itself and for the many teams that choose Pesaro every year for its organization and hospitality.
The championships and tournaments that we organise involve at least thirty provinces throughout Italy: the teams we host for the meetings have the opportunity to make contact with the city and the local community. Moreover, we try to favor the tourist-cultural receptive vocation of the territory: it is no coincidence, in fact, that we have become a point of reference for foreign teams from northern Europe, who in the spring ask to be able to carry out their spring-training with the team of Pesaro.
Anyway, the Baseball Club, like many other genuine sports realities, has an important social role: creating a "champion" is a secondary objective (despite the many national teams that have grown in our company over time); at the base, there is the training and growth of the person in a healthy and stimulating environment.
