A szervezet leírása

Stadtjugendring Stuttgart (SJR) is a non-governmental democratically organized umbrella organisation of youth organisations, youth groups and initiatives in Stuttgart. More than 60 member organizations (NGO s) with about 130 000 young people reflect the diversity of youth organisations and their variety of different values.

Our work is carried out by experienced trainers/youth workers involved in the following thematic areas on the basis of human rights education: Intercultural learning/international youth work, youth participation, social inclusion, anti-discrimination and democracy promotion, gender equality, active citizenship.

Our target groups:
- Young people aged between 13 and 27 years within our member organisations, youth groups and youth initiatives in Stuttgart.
- Voluntary youth leaders, board members from our member organizations, school representatives.

Objectives:
-to advocate for the interests and concerns of young people and youth organizations at the political level and in the network of the stakeholders involved in youth work in Stuttgart.
- to provide services and advice to ensure the quality of youth work and maintain the self-organization of our member organizations, youth groups, and youth initiatives.
- to support the recognition of non-formal education and voluntary work.

Activities
• Counselling (e.g. funding, conceptual issues, …), qualification (youth leader training, thematic training, and workshops based on human rights education), support and networking of youth associations, youth groups, and youth initiatives.
• Implementation of innovative projects (local activities and international youth exchange programs) in cooperation with our member organizations aiming at the further development of youth work and cross-sectoral cooperation between youth policy and other relevant policy areas.
• Fostering youth participation in the frame of youth-led democracy projects, local youth initiatives as well in cooperation with the local youth council
• Working in committees within the municipality and at the regional level to increase the knowledge of young people concern´s and the need for financial resources in the youth work

Der Stadtjugendring Stuttgart (SJR) ist als freier Träger der Jugendhilfe, ein demokratisch organisierter Dachverband von Jugendorganisationen, Jugendgruppen und Initiativen in Stuttgart. Mehr als 60 Mitgliedsorganisationen (NGO s) mit rund 130 000 jungen Menschen spiegeln die Vielfalt der Jugendverbände und ihre unterschiedlichen Werte wider.
Auf der Basis der Menschenrechtsbildung arbeiten erfahrene Trainer*innen/Jugendarbeiter*innen in den folgenden Themenbereichen: Interkulturelles Lernen/Internationale Jugendarbeit, Jugendpartizipation, soziale Inklusion, Antidiskriminierung und Demokratieförderung, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, aktive Bürgerschaft.
Unsere Zielgruppen:
- Junge Menschen im Alter von 13 bis 27 Jahren in unseren Mitgliedsorganisationen, Jugendgruppen und Jugendinitiativen in Stuttgart.
-Ehrenamtliche Jugendleitungen, Vorstandsmitglieder unserer Mitgliedsorganisationen, Schulvertreter*innen.
Ziele
-Die Vertretung der Interessen und Anliegen von Jugendlichen und Jugendorganisationen auf politischer Ebene und im Netzwerk der Akteure der Jugendarbeit in Stuttgart.
-Die Bereitstellung eines Angebots an Dienstleistungen und Beratung zur Sicherung der Qualität der Jugendarbeit und der Selbstorganisation unserer Mitgliedsorganisationen, Jugendgruppen und Jugendinitiativen.
-Die Förderung der Anerkennung von non-formaler Bildung und ehrenamtlicher Arbeit.
Tätigkeitsbereiche
- Beratung (z.B. Finanzierung, konzeptionelle Fragen, ...), Qualifizierung (Jugendleiterschulung, thematische Trainings und Workshops auf der Basis von Menschenrechtsbildung), Unterstützung und Vernetzung von Jugendverbänden, Jugendgruppen und Jugendinitiativen.
- Durchführung von innovativen Projekten (lokale Aktivitäten und internationale Jugendaustauschprogramme) in Zusammenarbeit mit Mitgliedsorganisationen zur Weiterentwicklung der Jugendarbeit und zur sektorübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit zwischen Jugendpolitik und anderen relevanten Politikbereichen.
- Förderung der Jugendpartizipation im Rahmen von jugendgeführten Demokratieprojekten, lokalen Jugendinitiativen sowie in Zusammenarbeit mit dem örtlichen Jugendrat.
- Mitarbeit in Gremien innerhalb der Kommune und auf regionaler Ebene, zur Steigerung des Wissens um die Belange Jugendlicher und des Bedarfs an finanziellen Ressourcen
