NGO PKTT promotes cultural diversity among local society and global networks, volunteer activities, including volunteer education, education of local and international community about world’s art, development of programmes to promote public participation and increased awareness about environmental diversity and protection. The organisations biggest project started 2 years ago named Tukku Magi, it is dedicated to bringing together creative expressions from cultures across the globe and presenting them in their uniqueness and interaction, avoiding labeling and direct comparison. Its mission is to reshape perceptions of traditional art, bringing it as an equal partner into modern artistic life. The mission of the Tukku Magi Project is to create a unique multi-cultural center in Latvia—the first of its kind in Northern Europe.
The target audience of the PKTT includes representatives of various interests who are either professionally involved in the arts and culture, or are its enjoyers and active participants.
The association is expanding its activities with the help of local volunteers and municipal support, reviving the cultural environment in the territory of the former enzyme factory in Tukums. The first event - Tukku Magi yard opening event in 2020 has marked the beginning of this cooperation and is being continued with the development of cultural offers, which includes exhibitions, excursions, events, co-creation and educational events.
