Organizācijas apraksts:

Signal of Solidarity e.V. (SOS) – was found in 2015. Today Signal of Solidarity is further shaped by nine permanent employees and about 27 volunteers. We are a dynamic organization working on projects that are independent but framed on an organizational level. We launched different projects focusing on female empowerment, human rights, education & youth and advocating for a liberal, resilient democracy. We are primarily located at two offices in Germany. Our main location is in Witten, and our second location is Bremen. At both locations we would be interested in a volunteer. With the ‘nouranour project’ - a fashion and learning workshop - the association advocates for more opportunities and diversity in Germany and creates intercultural fashion that carries the issue forward. The project is located in Witten and is especially offering opportunities to women; many of which are also mothers. The participants, volunteers, employees, and visitors have diverse backgrounds and their own stories. Lived diversity is what defines the commitment of all those involved. Living diversity is our solution for social coexistence. A togetherness that is based on mutual understanding, curiosity, openness, respect, and trust. A togetherness in which everyone can contribute talents and stand up for themselves and others. The association grows like our society and with the diversity of the people who stand in front of the different backgrounds. Our newest project is signal of youth. Supporting children in Witten with less opportunities in our society in the area of language training and digital skills.
