beschrijving van de organisatie

The World Center for Peace, liberties and Human Rights is located in Verdun (East of France), place of at least 3 major European historic times : Treaty of Verdun in 843 that divides the Empire of Charlemagne, The battle of Verdun during the WW1, he iconic picture of French President François MITTERRAND and German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, hand by hand on the battle field.

The major aims are to explain and present the European History in order to explain how the history could let drive to major conflicts and how the history could avoid conflict through diplomacy and political systems. Doing that, international relationships and diplomacy are in the heart of our activities.

Our activities are divided between exhibitions and events. All our activities are focused to the tourists, students and citizens who are coming in Verdun to visit the WW1 battle field.

As presenting peace is really more difficult than presenting war, we need to be innovative to show the reality of peace, liberties and human rights. For that, we can use the official diplomatic presents given to the French President. Mos of the time, we are looking for new ways of pedagogy and new subjects developed with European partners.
