Nicehearts - Change starts here
We are an association for girls, women and those who identify as such, founded in 2001. We enable women to find their place in society as equal, and unique members of society. As a Finnish association, we work for the promotion of gender equality in all spheres of life, including the labor market, education, and health access, especially mental and sexual health access. We aim to prevent exclusion by strengthening the opportunities of participation for girls and women and by promoting further pathways to success in society. We support women to make a change by empowering each other. We engage women to develop their talents through community building and trainee ships. Nicehearts values diversity, equality, and community. Our activities create long-lasting networks between women and promote diverse encounters between different cultures and people of all ages in everyday life. We here refer to culture, in different spheres of life as youth culture, BIPOC- culture, and LGTB+ culture. Nicehearts has 20 years of experience in youth work, inspired by the need of equal spaces in Finland during the early 2000s. Since then, we have expanded our organization to Our House team, in Espoo, Neighborhood Mothers in Helsinki, multiple groups in Lappeenranta, and Girl’s Space and Strong Women groups in Vantaa city.
