The Municipal Cultural Center in Narewka is a local government cultural institution whose primary goal is to conduct cultural activities aimed directly at the inhabitants of the Narewka commune, consisting in the creation, dissemination and protection of cultural goods and preparation of the society for active participation in culture.
The gem of our activity is the only nearby Galeria im. Tamary Sołoniewicz, who has a rich offer and form of participation in lectures / thematic meetings, museum lessons for schools, folk handicraft workshops, organizes exhibitions / vernissages of works by artists not only from Poland but also from abroad, publishes publications.
The most important goals and activities of GOK are: - comprehensive cultural education, education through art, - cooperation with the local community for its activation. promoting the artistic activity of the inhabitants of the region.
Tasks that GOK carries out:
- running artistic groups, art studios, interest clubs, - running rural clubs in the field, - conducting activities in the field of artistic education of children and youth, - cooperation with cultural institutions and non-governmental organizations, - promoting various forms of artistic creativity, in particular music and dance , songs, art, theater, - developing and taking care of the amateur art movement, - collecting, documenting, protecting and sharing cultural goods, - organizing outdoor events and events promoting the Narewka commune.
