Since "Pfennigparade" was founded in the early 1950s as a citizens' movement to fight the polio epidemic, it has accompanied people with disabilities through all stages of life. Its main goals are the promotion and rehabilitation of people with disabilities, as well as their inclusion and participation in society. These goals are linked to the claim to support people with disabilities in their individual self-determination to achieve the highest possible quality of life. In the areas of education, work, housing, health and leisure, Pfennigparade sees itself as an active creator of an inclusive society. Our will to promote and the courage to act allow our range of services to grow steadily. In doing so, we focus primarily on the needs and important impulses of people with disabilities. By creating structures, spaces and opportunities that enable people with and without disabilities to meet, we advocate for an inclusive society. In our children's homes and schools, at the workplace, in living and everyday life as well as in leisure time, we bring children, young people and adults with and without disabilities together.

Pfennigparade in figures: 17 subsidiaries, 80 services and facilities at 37 locations, 2,400 educational, rehabilitation and care places, 3,200 patients in our therapeutic and medical outpatient clinics, 2,500 employees.
