The Támogassuk a Rászoruló Állatokat (T.A.R.A.) Foundation was launched in 2013. Its primary goal, as an environmental and animal welfare foundation, is to support animals in need. Currently, we are still working with many volunteers to improve animal welfare in our country.
We work with 18 other foundations nationwide, acting as an umbrella organisation for their work. Our wide range of activities also gives us the opportunity to involve disadvantaged people in our programmes.
Our aim is to develop animal welfare in Hungary and to change the animal-keeping society. We want to teach the community a sense of responsibility. We want animals to live with us, with rights, to live well and to become our full partners.
We give educational presentations and organise interactive programmes to promote responsible animal husbandry from pre-school to schoolchildren.
Our activities are aimed at reducing animal cruelty, abandonment, animals living in poor conditions, animals that are helpless and injured.
