Municipality of Kärsämäki provides services for the residents. Kärsämäki has appr. 2500 inhabitants and it is located 123 km from regional center Oulu. Kärsämäki has a very active cultural life, compared to its size. Sport and outdoor activities are also very important for the inhabitants. And sports and hiking facilities are very comprehensive. We have an active sports Team Kärsämäen Kataja, which has been very successful in Finnish base ball. Culture services organizes various activities for all age
groups. But as a hosting organization, we would like to boost international relations within our youth in free time activities.
Kärsämäki is a small rural town and international exposure is quite limited. Our aim is provide more culture events and
hobbies for young people.
