NOVA Foundation was set up in 2009. We are a non-governmental, non-profit organization. Our aim is to promote the lifelong learning idea. From the very beginning NOVA is planning, conducting and evaluating various types of educational activities and support programs, which are including non-vocational and vocational courses, workshops and seminars.
NOVA has an entry in the National Registers: Employment Agencies and Training Institutions and since 2022 Erasmus VET accreditation.
Our target groups are mainly: seniors, disabled people, young people, women- young mothers, women from violent families, people socially excluded, the local community, immigrants from Ukraine etc. Approximately 2000 people participate in our activities and projects each year.
Our main areas of activities are:
1) COMMUNITY CENTRE - on a daily basis we are running a community centre "Neighborhood House" in one of Gdansk districts -Chelm. We are inviting local residents to take part in the multiple group activities and education in the field of 8 key competences (multilingual, personal, social, citizenship etc.).
2) ADULT EDUCATION – Every year we organize between 50 and 100 non-vocational courses/trainings/events for adults
3) VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING – Every year we organize approx. 100 courses to allow participants to improve their knowledge, know-how, skills and competences required in particular occupations or to boost their chances on the employment market.
