Our organisation is located in Epanomi, in the Region of Central Macedonia. We started our mission in Thessaloniki when we were founded by Cousine sans Frontieres and Anazitites Theatrou aka Fix in Art in 2020. Our partner organisation Fix in Art was having communal meals with their volunteers, artists from the city and anybody who wanted to join or was in need for a meal. Because of this we started thinking and talking about community, sustainability, creativity , togetherness and how we could create a space that would fight food insecurity and food waste in a respectful and innovative way, that includes everyone, regardless of their circumstances or social backgrounds. This was the beginning of M-eating Hub. We believe that food and sustainable living connects people, can build community and that together we can achieve a more sustainable tomorrow. For two years we shared space with Fix in Art in the old Fix beer brewery located in Thessaloniki. During this time we created a program of Culinary training that will offer basic culinary skills to people from vulnerable groups, equipping them with the necessary skills to re-enter the labour market and create a life. Next to that, sharing meals and offering food pack distributions, became the M-eating hubs main activities, working towards the aim of making this world more sustainable and fair, one meal at a time. In our new location we focus on sustainable living and sharing our vision with the youth, especially in rural areas.
