Beschrijving van de organisatie

Interra’s aim is to create meeting spaces between people recently arrived in Liege territory and local people, through the showcasing of their talents, know-how and passions, in order to create a more inclusive society. Our target group are adults and our wish is to create links between newly arrived and local people.
Our missions are:
- Create spaces dedicated to conversations and sharing in order to encourage the mutual support, cultural exchange and collaboration ;
- Inform the host society about immigration richness, to bring a new vision on immigration, but also on the host society itself ;
- Develop and mobilise a network to allow everyone to be fulfilled in the society ;
- Favour the meeting of newly arrived and local people
In order to achieve our missions, we work on 4 main projects:
- InterAct : meetings taking the form of artistic, sportive or socio cultural workshops. Mixed groups of newly arrived and local people meeting around their topics of interest, passions and know-hows (writing, theater, cooking, football, painting, fitness, jogging…);
- Duo2Change : creation of relationships between a newly arrived person and a local person with the aim to favor the inclusion of newly arrived people and change the vision of migrations;
- InterLab : accompanying entrepreneurs to be able to concretise their professional project (com-panies, NGO’s, non profit…) ;
- Intercultural communication training : trainings giving the resources for everyone to meet with the Other
