Opis organizacije

ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e. V. (RRCGN) is a non-profit association that promotes cultural and social diversity in arts and media, strengthening of diversity conscious youth work as well as promotion of international exchanges. RRCGN is the German partner in the international ROOTS & ROUTES network and a full member organisation in the ROOTS & ROUTES International Association. In 2021, RRCGN opened its first own space for topical artistic work with young people in Cologne, the intersectional Youth Lab (iJuLa) in Cologne.
RRCGN is combining artistic approaches and socio-political topics. Also, we run local participative projects where young people can implement their own ideas with our support. Last but not least, we train young artists to become peer coaches, sharing their skills with other young people; this happens at the ROOTS & ROUTES Peer Coach Academy every other year.

Volunteers at RRCGN should be ready for both office work (about 70% of the job), and for intense activity phases like youth exchanges, sometimes with long working days.
