Järjestön kuvaus

AMAD is a non-government organization of civil society in Albania, which aims on inspiring and sharing values about democracy, human rights, and solidarity by actively working on projects and initiatives promoting these values and tackling issues related to advocacy on human rights, youth empowerment and gender equality, promoting social cohesion and inclusion for equal opportunities, countering discrimination and hate speech, raising awareness on mental health, etc.
AMAD’s focus areas of activities are:
- Strengthening of instruments that guarantee human rights
- Empowering youth inclusion through capacity building, networking and bridging, motivating them to engage in community
- Encouraging youth
- Raising awareness on mental health improvement
- Countering hate speech and combating every form of discrimination, bullying, and stigma
- Contributing to social cohesion process of marginalized and/or vulnerable groups
- Encouraging solidarity, tolerance, respect, and local / regional / international cooperation
- Contribute to sharing common Albanian-EU values as a contribution to European Union integration
- Encouraging sustainable development, etc.
Target groups in AMAD are youth, women and girls, marginalized category, persons with fewer opportunities due to socio- economic factor or disabilities, and every vulnerable group in need for support.
