Frankfurt (Oder) is an independent city in Brandenburg. The Frankfurt-Slubice Cooperation Center is part of the city administration of Frankfurt (Oder) and pursues the goal of contributing to the city of Frankfurt (Oder)'s progress towards becoming a cosmopolitan, climate-neutral city with a high quality of life through continuous, intensive cross-border and European cooperation.
The main activities include multi-year projects on topics such as cross-border, sustainable inner city development and planning, joint measures to reduce the negative consequences of climate change, cross-border citizen participation for the further development of the European twin city of Frankfurt (Oder) - Slubice, further development of cooperation between educational institutions with regard to strengthening the neighboring languages Polish and German and the acquisition of future skills. The work of the cooperation center is aimed at all target groups among the residents, visitors to the twin city and cooperation partners, but especially at children and young people.
