Student Cultural Center from Kragujevac represents an important local center of social and cultural events for young people. As a modern, dynamic institution, open to new ideas and new trends in the art and culture of our time, SCC annually organizes an average of 300 programs (mainly for young people) involving over 55,000 participants and audiences, which include: musical, literary and forum, educational, art and film program, as well as work of amateur sections - folklore ensemble, academic theatre, choir and orchestra.

The mission of the Student Cultural Center Kragujevac is to improve the cultural scene by enriching the program, by educating, by working on meeting the cultural, educational, and artistic needs of young people and encouraging students, but also all other citizens, to participate actively in artistic expression and creativity. Through its programs and SCC presents contemporary tendencies of all aspects of artistic creativity of young people, and through its literary and music publishing, SCC encourages and supports creative young people from Kragujevac and the region and helps their promotion and affirmation. SCC also exercises its educational function through numerous workshops and lectures. At the same time, by nurturing a traditional culture through the work of the folklore ensemble, it contributes to the preservation of the intangible cultural heritage.
