Järjestön kuvaus

The Lycée Léonard de Vinci is a general, technical and vocational public high school, with approx. 800 students (15-20 years old), 90 teaching staff and 30 administrative, canteen or maintenance agents. The school is located in Soissons, approximately 50 000 inhabitants with the surroundings.
The school has sport facilities, a training centre for adults, a department for early-school leavers and another one for students with learning difficulties.
In the school, we offer full-time courses in different fields: electricity; productics; industrial maintenance; boilermaking; modeling/prototyps; metalwork; car mechanics; sciences; physical education; sustainable development.
One of our most important daily challenge is to allow a good integration and a successful educational journey of each student whatever his background, believes or cultural heritage are.
Owing to the social difficulties/inequalities which our area is suffering from, it is absolutely needed to implement strong/innovative measures to lower it as much as possible. We are therefore used to implement numerous projects in various fields with local, regional, national, EU and international partners, to:
- Encourage students’ mobility for future employment opportunities
- Increase their awareness of the necessity to learn a foreign language
- Develop their citizenship at national, EU and global level
- Strengthen their ambition/motivation, a key factor in the success of their study life.
