Second Chance Association is a non-profit organization founded in 2018, based in Gaziantep, Turkey. Our main aim is to provide support and opportunities to disadvantaged individuals, especially children, youth, women and adults who need special education. Since 2018, our organization has been carrying out activities for local youth and disadvantaged individuals, and we are developing partnerships with youth organizations in the EU and neighboring countries to provide programs for young people living in Gaziantep in order to expand our working areas from 2022.
Our target group consists of young people between the ages of 18-29, but our general focus target group consists of young people with limited opportunities in economic, social and educational issues and individuals with special needs. Our activities in this context;
• Supporting the personal development and capacity building of disadvantaged individuals,
• Workshops supporting the education of children with special needs in the local community,
• Conferences, seminars and awareness events to promote social rights and opportunities,
• Voluntary programs and training initiatives to promote active citizenship and develop skills,
• Art workshops for children and youth to develop self-expression and creative skills,
• Competence workshops for the development of competence, competence and skills of young people,
• Leadership programs to empower young people and improve their self-confidence and skills
