AIMS
The Beau Mur organisation aims at:
- gathering, in a pluralistic approach, people, movements and groups working to contribute to emancipation of men and women;
- initiate, coordinate, support and/or disseminate actions and initiatives of citizens and organisations striving for a transformation of society into one with more justice and solidarity;
- supply these people and groups with the necessary infrastucture (rooms, trainings, documents..) and other available means in order to organise socio-cultural activities and support projects related to these objectives
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Beau Mur has two main types of activities:
- Beau Mur is an "house of organisations". The place provides spaces (offices, meeting rooms...) for various liked-minded organisations, allowing them to carry on their activities but also to network and create sinergies
- The organisation also sets up activities and actions aiming at encouraging social innovation, continuing education, and the contribution to civic transition : greening the public areas, debates about societal issues, dramatised popular lecture known as "conférence gesticulée", cooking workshops...)
TARGET GROUPS
The target groups are different for each activity Beau Mur sets in place. Generally speaking, we can say that Beau Mur is mostly targetting people (adults) living and organisations (not for profit) active in Liège territory and in the neighbourhood (Grivegnée) where it is based.
