The parents' initiative in the non-profit organisation Verein für ökologisches Lernen e.V. has set itself the goal of enabling
children and young people to learn in and with nature. The purpose of the association is to promote education and training.
This is realised through the sponsorship of a day care centre for children aged 1-6 years. The special feature of the centre is
that it places great emphasis on experiencing nature from an early age and later intensifies this through a forest
kindergarten. We look after children aged 1-3 in our building in Würzburg-Grombühl and spend most of our time with the
older children aged 3-6 in the great outdoors in a wooded area in Würzburg-Oberrdürbach. We are working ith the concept
of 'wood kindergarten'which means that we are going with children outside every day but every weather.
