As one of the largest employers in the region, the city of Chemnitz offers a wide range of tasks that extends to over 26
offices with more than 3,700 employees. The city of Chemnitz also trains people in administrative and commercial-technical professions.
In the city of Chemnitz there are many ways in which citizens can get involved at the local level, for example in the annual residents' meetings, in various committees or through petitions.
With the motto “C the unseen”, Chemnitz2025 focuses on the unseen: on the unseen of the “quiet middle”. To the unseen city, the unseen European neighbors, the unseen places and biographies, the unseen talents in each individual.
