Opis organizacije

Da Capos is a non-profit organisation and a recognised provider of youth services. Our main objective is to provide people from Sprockhövel and surroundings with cultural, sport and networking activities, as such opportunities are sometimes difficult to access in this city.
We organise weekly courses for children and youth such as taeqwondo, archery, dance, choir, yoga, online English course and tutoring. During the holidays, we regularly organise cultural and sport activities and we organise every year our sommer camps.
We also work with senior citizens and offer as well workshops and training activities for diverse target groups.
In April 2025 we have opened our meeting point called Kontaktschmiede (Contact forge in Englisch). From Wednesday until Sunday our guests can come in and have a place to network, chill and have fun while enjoying snacks and drinks. Diverse workshops and encounters take place there for different target groups (seniors encounters, baby-parent café, archery treff, handicrafts workshops, monthly meeting for people who have lost someone, how to use a tablet and handy for seniors), as well as punctual events (family disco, accordion music afternoon, darts training).
We also organise children birthday parties and have a small shuttle bus called the „Flotte Lotte“ to shuttle people that are not mobile to come to our events. Last but not least, we organise since several years the city festival (Stadtfest) in Sprockhövel.
