Empowering Young Adults for a Sustainable Future

The Route 66 Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports young adults (18-30 years old) in developing mental resilience, ecological awareness, and personal eco-leadership. We believe young people have the potential to lead the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive world. Through hands-on climate action, nature-based learning, and intercultural collaboration, we help them find purpose, overcome societal barriers, and create lasting impact.

Our programs take place in the natural environment of Gran Canaria, where participants engage in environmental clean-ups, biodiversity restoration, upcycling, and eco-education. In addition, we integrate mindfulness (MBCT) and eco-leadership training, equipping young people with the skills, experience, and confidence to drive meaningful change in sustainability and social inclusion.

The immersive natural setting of Gran Canaria provides a powerful environment for young people to reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other—transforming awareness into tangible action for a more regenerative and inclusive future.
