Karukera & Friends is a non-profit youth association based in Guadeloupe, French overseas territory. Our mission is to foster inclusion, solidarity, and intercultural understanding by empowering young people—especially those facing fewer opportunities—through art, international mobility, and non-formal education.

We primarily work with local youth from Guadeloupe and other French overseas regions, many of whom are economically disadvantaged, unemployed, or experiencing their first international mobility. Our target group includes NEETs, young job seekers, and those facing social or geographical obstacles.

Our main activities are:

Organising creative projects (music, dance, visual arts, digital media) to promote inclusion and combat discrimination.
Facilitating workshops in English and intercultural skills to support youth in mobility and international collaboration.
Running info sessions in schools on the ESC and Erasmus+.
Supporting young people before, during, and after their mobility (hosting and sending), with strong mentoring and personal development focus.

Our multidisciplinary team has expertise in project management, youth work, education, arts, logistics, and communication. We stand out for our commitment to young people with fewer opportunities, strong local partnerships, and a safe, motivating environment. We help youth become active ambassadors for tolerance and solidarity, both locally and in Europe.
