Another Way is a non-profit organisation based in Agrampela, Achaia, Greece, founded in 2024. Its mission is to promote sustainable living, empower young people and revitalise rural mountain areas, showing that life in nature can be both viable and inspiring. Located in the 17th-century heritage site of the former Poretsou Monastery – inactive for over forty years and now managed as a secular, open community space – the organisation connects ecological regeneration with cultural preservation and active citizenship.

Its main activities include non-formal education workshops on ecology, renewable energy, sustainable building, permaculture, nutrition and self-sufficiency; hosting and mentoring young volunteers; maintaining a communal organic garden; and implementing community projects in cooperation with local residents, associations and municipalities.

Another Way provides young people with meaningful learning experiences, encouraging them to reconnect with nature, develop practical hands-on and social soft skills and contribute to rural regeneration. Its target group is youth aged 18-30 interested in sustainability, cultural heritage and community action, including young people with fewer opportunities. Through its work, the organisation supports the European Green Deal and the ESC’s priority of tackling the climate crisis, fosters inclusion and solidarity and transforms an abandoned mountain site into a living example of sustainable and creative rural life.
