Beschrijving van de organisatie

The Other Space Foundation (Fundacja Inna Przestrzeń) is a non-governmental organisation working for the public benefit in culture, education, human rights and social change. Our mission is to open new spaces for artistic and civic expression, promoting openness, democracy, equality and multicultural understanding. We design creative cultural, social and educational projects that generate real positive change in Poland and internationally. Our goals are to: – support culture, art, heritage protection, human rights, democracy and sustainability; – strengthen civic engagement and build an open, inclusive society based on dialogue and solidarity; – foster understanding between nations and cultures and support minorities. We pursue these aims through: – Cultural projects: festivals, exhibitions, performances and media productions linking art with activism; – Educational initiatives: intercultural learning, civic education, environmental awareness and human rights promotion; – Social actions: empowering migrants and marginalised groups, counteracting discrimination, and promoting volunteering and community development. We also build partnerships with local authorities, NGOs and international networks, sharing expertise and supporting others whose missions align with ours. Combining art and civic engagement, the Foundation creates a living space for cooperation between artists, educators and activists. We work across Poland, Europe, the Caucasus, Africa and the Middle East.
