The Sozialer Friedensdienst Kassel e.V. (SFD) is a leading organisation in Kassel, Hesse, with over 40 years of experience in coordinating national and international voluntary services. We run programs such as IJFD (International Youth Voluntary Service) and weltwärts (North/South and South/North), providing young people with opportunities to engage in meaningful social work, develop intercultural skills, and contribute to peaceful coexistence. Our expertise ensures professional guidance, psychosocial support, and high-quality training for all volunteers. Beyond volunteer services, SFD promotes diversity, equal opportunities, and democratic participation through social projects at three locations in Kassel. We host the North Hesse Anti-Discrimination Network and the EPN Promoter Centre for Nordhessen, implementing projects that combat racism and strengthen inclusive participation.
