10 months EVS will take place in the Social Integration Centre created and run by Foundation Internationaler Bund Poland in Tychy. Centrum Integracji Społecznej is working together with different minorities of the society, like long term unemployed (homeless persons, people who were addicted to alcohol, former prisoners), people with disabilities, people who become blind in adulthood and their families (Mobility Centre). The aim is to support them to improve their situation and to open up new possibilities. Furthermore CIS is running a seniors club.

CIS is looking for volunteers who have a genuine interest in the work of the organization for the disadvantaged people and an affinity with its aims and method. It is also important that volunteers are keen to work with adults with social problems. Volunteers should be sociable and outgoing, and due to the nature of the work they should be flexible and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds than their own.
