Popis projektu

We are looking for 4 volunteers for a 12 months long ESC-project: Sept 2019 - Aug 2020. All the volunteers will be involved in the processes related to the everyday operation of an independent cultural venue. They help with promotion on social networks, distribute posters in the city, make basic graphic design, sell tickets, host foreign artists, etc. There is also the opportunity to develop an own creative project. Such as workshop, exhibition, blog, movie, etc. Besides this, the volunteers help at the cafe, help with the little garden in the backyard, do some small administration tasks and more. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in at least one of the following topics, to specialize in that: Creating photo and video documentation of the events and activities we organize. Writing reviews and reports from the events for the A4 zine. Create the graphic design of the A4 zine. Being a technical assistant. For more info: www.a4.sk

1. On-arrival and mid-term trainings during the project 2. Slovak classes once per week - 1 hour 3. Regular weekly meetings with the all A4 team members 4. Regular weekly meetings about particular topics and tasks with our experts (production, PR, management) 5. Regular weekly meetings with EVS coordinator and mentors 6. Any other needed support for developing your own competences and your own projects

Profil dobrovolníka

The volunteers have an interest in art, culture and society. They want to be part of a creative team and learn how an independent cultural organisation works. In this context, they are working in a team and bring in pro-active energy. The volunteers are flexible: the work schedule depends on the program of events. In short, the activities are very varied and there is a lot of space to discuss preferences of the volunteer. We are looking for volunteers with a creative approach who will be dedicated and actively look for new tasks and activities.
