Go East with EVS! UK volunteers needed for Interra

The volunteer will be involved in current INTERRA's projects (in the preparation and implementation of youth exchanges and bilateral international project-management) and other activities carried out by INTERRA in the field of education (foreign language clubs, lectures/discussions on culture, art, urban life development etc.) INTERRA supports voluntary activities in the region. That is why, the volunteer will have the possibility to participate in sports and cultural events, organized by the city or other NGOs in Krasnoyarsk of region, make presentation about personal voluntary experience and through them promote volunteering and the EVS program. The volunteer will have an opportunity to use all his/her experience from the project, to create the active way of participation and develop competences which are important both for personal and professional future. His/her involvement in local community ensures that both Russian and the volunteer’s community will benefit from the project.
TõlgiMajutus, toitlustus, transport
The volunteer will live in Krasnoyarsk City in a local family in his/her own room and share bathroom and kitchen with the host family. Our host families have experience from their involvement in intercultural INTERRA's projects and have good infrastructures. In addition to pocket money (55 Euro) the volunteer will be provided monthly with money for food (120 Euro) and local transport (30 Euro) at the beginning of every month, which he/she will have to manage independently. Each volunteer is provided with a residence permit upon his/her arrival.

The volunteer will receive Russian classes and on-the-job training and support.

This project is only open to UK residents aged 18-30. A basic knowledge of English, Russian or German would be appreciated, as well as computer literacy skills (online communication, videos, vlogging, instagram stories). We are looking for a volunteer who is open-minded, proactive, highly motivated to work in the field of international youth work. We value the person's own initiative and creativity. We will select a volunteer who can demonstrate: motivation to volunteer and to get to know Russia’s social life, culture, and language; cultural awareness and interest in international youth work.

Main tasks envisaged: - promote and help running international exchanges and other INTERRA’s core activities - assist in partnership work in the region and internationally - take part in youth educational projects such as foreign language clubs, workshops on culture, art, and urban life development - planning of new project ideas, together with the project team - helping in the office administration: drafting reports and funding applications, preparing advertising material, updating website/social media, writing press releases - contributing to the volunteer blog, promote EVS in the area.
