State youth speech contest
Why do we need a youth speech competition?
We all have an opinion on many different things. We think about and perceive events in society around us, but also in the world as a whole. Some things annoy us and some things we think are really great. Sometimes we realise that we assess situations differently to our colleagues at school and sometimes interesting discussions even arise.
The fact is, there are topics that concern us ALL and that we need to talk about. In Austria, there is a special tool for young people: the annual youth:speech competition!
This gives young people aged between 14 and 21 a space for their opinions and opens up the stage for all the things that you have always wanted to get off your chest, that move you and that accompany you in your life. At the same time, you will learn what is important in a speech and gain great experience!
From climate protection and role models to current socio-political issues, young people can get creative and talk about what really moves them. They can choose from three categories: classic speech, spontaneous speech and new speech.
