Policy Dialogues
What is a Policy Dialogue?
The primary objective of a Youth Policy Dialogue is to provide a platform for young voices to contribute to the EU's policy-making processes. Therefore, participants have the opportunity to articulate their opinions, express their ideas, and engage in constructive discussions with policy makers. By actively involving young Europeans, the European Commission seeks to ensure that its policies are reflective of the aspirations and concerns of the younger generation.
These 2 Policy Dialogues will serve as a pivotal platform for the Vice-president of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas and the Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Iliana Ivanova to not only lend an ear but also gain profound insights into the perceptions and aspirations of European youth. By fostering an environment of open dialogue, they aim to bridge the gap between the EU policy-making echelons and the vibrant youth demographica.
With the European elections looming just two months after these Policy Dialogues, there is a pressing need to empower and engage young people in the electoral process. Vice-president Schinas and Commissioner Ivanova underscore the significance of youth engagement in shaping the future trajectory of the European project.
