Last updated on Friday, 24/09/2021

Specific advice & help for applicants joining the 2nd round of the Erasmus+ KA 1, KA2 & European Solidarity Corps programmes which are approaching this autumn. Discover good examples and find out how to showcase your project from the strong side!

This autumn brings us the 2nd application round for the Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps programmes:

In this busy time, let’s focus on what really matters: making your projects better and telling your stories right. What can help you make your project stand out?

Have a strong policy dimension

How does your project contribute to the achievement of one or more of the EU Youth Goals? Link your project with one or more horizontal priorities of the EU Youth programmes: Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Transformation, Participation in Democratic Life, and Environment and Fight Against Climate Change.

Make it participatory

Ask yourself: what organisations and young people did you involve in designing the project, and have you planned any follow up with them after the project ends? See the Youth Participation Toolkit for very practical tips, worksheets, and self-evaluation questions about projects and participation.

Learn from the best

SALTO PI’s Flagship Projects Collection features top-notch youth projects, many of which originated in Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes. For example, see how this Erasmus+ project addressed  the Sustainable Green Europe youth goal, or how these European Solidarity Corps volunteers got empowered in a new local community. Did you know that by getting into the Flagships, your project can become known to thousands of people across Europe and, perhaps, light a spark in someone to follow in your steps?

Want to get into the Flagships?
  • Apply to Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes before the deadline - it is your first step towards getting your project featured in the Flagships.
  • Nominate your project for the SALTO Awards – an annual contest of innovative youth projects in several  nomination categories ranging from Youth Participation to Digital Transformation and Sustainability. By the way, if you already have an ongoing project you can apply for this year's SALTO Awards up until September 30. But if you start your project now, then apply for the awards next year.
  • Get a direct recommendation from your country’s National Agency (find the list of National Agencies here)

Best of luck with your projects in this autumn season!
