“Pro Gemeinsinn” foundation is a non-profit association, focusing on early childhood education and after-school care. The aim is to create a positive environment for children from 1 to 12 years for them to flourish, learn, enjoy and grow and to feel like important members of the society. German-French Kindergarten „Froschkönig/Frog prince“: In our kindergarten, we care for 75 children between 1 and 6 years. During walks and on our on our beautiful terrain the children play with each other mixed in age. The kindergarten works according to the Early Excellence approach and is oriented to the Pikler pedagogy. The kindergarten is located in a beautiful quiet environment directly on the “Tegal Fließ/stream” and invites the children to observe nature and learn more about ecology. Throughout the day, all of the educators speak their mother tongue (German or French) with the children.
Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz
The volunteer will receive a food fee (313 Euro/month) The volunteer will be reimbursed for the costs of a monthly public transport ticket. The pocket money will be 7 Euro/day. The volunteer will receive financial support for the travel costs from his/her place of origin to Germany and back. The amount depends on the distance travelled. Accomodation : A room in a host family or a shared flat.
Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo
There is an English-speaking mentor, responsible for answering any questions and supervising the volunteer´s work. The volunteer can take part in the regular training for staff members. The project has a lot of experience with German volunteers and has been a host project for the European Voluntary Service for several years. The volunteer don´t need to work alone or be responsible for a group of children or young people on his or her own.
