Volunteer with us in Portugal! We are a unique creative hub located in a rural village, south of Portugal. We focus on the development of digital and environmental competencies for the local community. Buinho is known for being one of the few European Fablabs that host an Artist in Residency Program, and we also run a Precious Plastic workshop where we recycle and transform plastic waste. We are looking for someone who: - is dedicated to bringing creativity and innovation to rural communities - is interested in supporting artists for the development of social innovation projects - is inspired by the Repair and Precious Plastic movements, and want to contribute for a more sustainable world - is committed to working with a team of creatives for 6 months in rural South Portugal for more information about please visit our website - www.buinho.pt
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
We offer travel support, bikes, car access, accommodation, all bills, and a monthly fee of 330€ for food support. Wat leer je?
Our volunteers will have the opportunity to learn the following content: - Volunteer and participate in Buinho's Repair Cafe's; - Learn about plastic recycling procedures and also biofabrication; - Have the opportunity to support the international artist in residency program; - How to create cultural community events, and develop educational activities based on the intersection of sustainability, art and technology;
Wie zoeken we?
We aim to receive motivated volunteers that understand the importance of bringing social cohesion and creativity into rural areas. We would also like to receive volunteers that want to contribute to innovative practices in the field of environmental protection and education. We are looking for volunteers that would like to work in a rural environment. We would love to be able to receive fellow makers with experience in working with fablabs and makerspaces, although this is not mandatory. We would also welcome volunteers with zero experience as our mission is to empower communities
