This project takes place in the mountainous region of Madrid named Sierra Norte de Madrid. It was elaborated together with workers of the Town Hall of Lozoyuela who will be responsible for giving tasks to the volunteers. In general, there is a wide range of activities in different fields depending on what the volunteer can and wants to do. New ideas and initiatives are always welcome. During summer volunteers will be involved in our international work camps. Main topics: Supporting the Town Hall of Lozoyuela including work in the local library, tourist office and museum; Help with organisation of festivals, workshops, holiday shows, sports competences and other activities that the Town Hall prepares for the local people; Supporting office De Amicitia online; leading or supporting the volunteering camps.
Logi, mad og transport
Accommodation will be in a rural house in Sieteiglesias where the volunteer will share the house with 2 other volunteers. Also, the volunteers will have a car to get to work in Lozoyuela. The food budget is 5 euros per day.
Oplæring under aktiviteten
This project provides the occasion to increase key competences that are necessary for youth to become active citizens and to improve their educational and employment prospects. It will provide an opportunity to be involved in activities based on non-formal education, involving people on a voluntary basis, providing youngsters with opportunities to acquire a wide range of skills (personal, professional, and intercultural) through planned non-formal and informal activities. At the end of the Service, new skills acquired by the volunteers will be recognized through the Youth Pass certificate.
Deltagerens profil
We are looking for active young people who want to participate in a project focused on rural development. Your initiative and new ideas are very welcome. At least a basic level of Spanish is required (the higher your Spanish is, the better). Also, a driving licence is needed. We can also accept Short Term participants
